'dis-Covering Beauty

Class Description

In this class we will be using patterns that were originally designed for hand quilting.  Anita M. Smith will show you how to look at this or any other design with appliqué in mind.  We will be taking these designs and 'dis-Covering how to pick the colors, how to transfer designs onto dark fabrics with out marking your fabric and learning how to do an invisible appliqué stitch.  Anita will be teaching you the basic principles in order for you to be able to complete any pattern with confidence.  This class is appropriate for a beginner with a passion to learn and for the experienced quilter willing to accept the challenge of doing something unique.

You will receive a full size pattern and also the corner pattern in class.  There will be a supply list and also a Kit price.

Spring and Summer Dimensional Flowers

Spring and Summer are wonderful times and full of color.  We will make these flowers that can be put into a vase or your choice or used on a garment or quilt. Each flower will take about 1/2 hour to 1 hour to make depending on the skill level of student and type of flower the student makes. Anita can teach as many or as few that are chosen for the teaching time.  The kit fee for this project will vary depending on the flowers chosen and how many will be done.  Below is some examples of flowers that have been done and also some arrangements with those flowers.
