The Bag Lady @ Sunlight Cottage

After 9-11 many things changed in the world.  One of them was my husband losing his job of 17 years at Boeing.  We had to find ways to earn a living and my selling hand made tapestry bags at the local farmers market in the summer  seemed to be an option.  I decided to do what I could and avoid the thought of being a "true bag lady" on the streets of Seattle.  We lived week to week and at times day by day but God used this as an opportunity to "stretch" us and provide our needs in miraculous ways.  I still have bags available and will continue to sell these bags as long as I am able.  Patterns and designs change so call or write for what is available right now.  The average size is 18 inches wide by 18 or 19 inches long.  It depends on the fabric available.  They are not lined but are hand sewn by Anita and very sturdy.  The Handles are made of Nylon webbing.  The Label says: Handmade on Whidbey Island by The Bag Lady @ Sunlight Cottage.  It makes a great project bag or a gift for the on that has everything.  You can fill it with fabric, books, patterns or notions for that special quilter or yourself.
